Interview Between a case Manager and a Client

Question: Define Interview Between a case Manager and a Client ? Answer: Introduction Case managers have to conduct frequent interviews to carry out a proper case management process. The interview process generally assists in obtaining and providing sufficient information that is required to study the case properly and offer appropriate help to the client (Hgelund Holm, 2006). These interviews are conducted either through telephones or face to face with the clients (Powell, 2005). The method of interview that is chosen by the case manager will be based on the objectives of the interview that can make the interview more efficient and effective. Interview Below is an interview between a case manager and his client. Case Manager: Hello, I am Mr. Wilson, the case manager dealing with your case. Client: Hello, I am Mrs. Jones. I had a few queries regarding your organization. Shall I proceed with them? Case Manager: Sure, Maam, Please do clarify anything that you might have in your mind. Client: Can I schedule meetings with you or any other person form the agency at any such time that is proper for me? Especially when I have an emergency? Case Manager: Yes, Maam, you can surely schedule meetings with me according to your convenience and regarding other people you can schedule meetings ate any such office hours convenient to you. Client: Ok, Thank You. I would also want to inquire how I am supposed to know when this work will be over. Case Manager: Maam since we are dealing with human services each work and time period is not the same. Hence depending on the case each requires their own individual time period. After proper assessment of the case and observing the rate of progress I would be able to give you an idea of the exact time period when the case will be over. Client: Ok, Thank you. Case Manager: Maam, now you need to elaborate on the problems that you have been facing and depending on that I would able to tell you what kind of assistance you can receive from me based on the guidelines of this human service agency. Client: My problem is concentrated with the self support of my family. I need some basic need for my family to be self supportive. Case Manager: Maam it will be extremely helpful if you can provide in details the strengths and weakness of your family. It will assist me and my team to support you as well as your family. Client: Thank you, so much. I will prepare a document and send it your agency as soon as possible. Case Manager: Please do send me the document so that I am able to assess the strengths, capabilities, knowledge of you as well as your families. Client: I would make sure I include all information for your convenience. I hope everything will remain confidential. Case Manager: So Maam, if you have any more queries please feel free to clarify and also state whether you would like to continue with the services. As for the confidentiality our agency has appropriate policies on confidentiality. Client: I am eager to take the assistance of your agency. I would also complete the formalities regarding the charges. Case Manager: Thank you, Maam. It will be a pleasure working with you. References Hgelund, J. Holm, A. (2006).
